This week a few of the team at Stay in went out on the road to visit some of North Devon’s finest hotels and holiday parks and it really does make you appreciate what a beautiful part of the world this is.

Adam and Katie started off in Woolacombe – a coastal resort of blue flag sandy beach mixed with beautiful countryside. Woolacombe has some quaint little shops and the all-important traditional ice-cream parlours! Exmoor National Park’s recent designation as Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve is already helping to raise the profile of the area with Exmoor in the national spotlight when Dulverton was selected to take part in a live ‘switch off’ during the BBC’s three-night series of Stargazing LIVE.

Although the weather wasn’t very kind on the night, the event and Prof. Brian Cox’s comments have prompted an enthusiastic group to form Exmoor StarGazers, open to anyone who has an interest in the subject, more information on their website http://www.exmoorstargazers.co.uk/
